Genshin Impact 4.7; Reunited And It Doesn’t Feel Right

The Genshin Impact 4.7 Special Program officially aired on May 24th. Hosted by Zach Aguilar, the Special Program showcased a slew of new events, banners, and a surprising Archon Quest for players to look forward to. With much to cover before the new version arrives, we at Geek News Now will take a look at all the upcoming events.

Genshin Impact: The Tale Of The Marechaussee Hunters

The Traveler and Paimon return to Mondstadt yet again for a new story inspired from the original lore of the fabled Marechaussee Hunters. These hunters specialized as guardians that protected the people long ago from Monsters and bad guys alike. Reuniting with some of Fontaine’s best actors and battlefield experts, the Traveler will explore the long-forgotten story of these amazing warriors, whilst uncovering an ancient secret.

Let’s hope by the time this happens, the Traveler and Paimon sharpened up their acting skills.

After parting ways with Dainsleif back in Chapter III: Act VI of the Sumeru Archon Quest, he left to investigate a matter regarding a supposed ‘Sinner’ involved with Khaenri’ah’s distant past. And now, following the Genshin Impact 4.7 update, the Traveler will encounter Dainsleif again. However, thanks to an animated teaser, Hoyoverse showcased a potential reunion with both Dainsleif and our long lost sibling. Whether this takes place in a dream or a secluded Domain, remains to be seen.

I, for one, am very excited to see how this’ll play out. Be sure to keep fingers crossed when Archon Quest Chapter IV: Act VI Bedtime Story arrives late June. Moving on, let’s discuss the next exciting event: Banners!

Following the release of Genshin Impact 4.7, three new playable characters will be available to add to your Roster. Of course, I did discuss these three characters in a recent article of mine. But now, we finally have an in-depth look into these new and upcoming characters:

  • Chlorinde: A 5-Star Electro Sword-wielder. Her Elemental Skill will trigger a Bond of Life effect. Should this effect decrease, she will deal stronger Physical attacks. On the other hand, if the Bond is higher, she can deal Electro AOE damage onto nearby opponents. Her Elemental Burst deals greater Elector AOE damage, and a quick evasive maneuver to evade enemy attacks.
  • Sigewinne: A 5-Star Hydro Bow-wielder. Her Elemental Skill unleashes large bubbles toward opponents dealing Hydro damage between them. Think a bouncing beach ball at parties. Furthermore, this bubble will then convert the damage into healing for party members aside from Sigewinne, until the bubble pops. As for her Elemental Burst, she will call upon an XL-sized Syringe that will deal Hydro damage based off her max HP.
  • Sethos: A 4-Star Electro Bow-wielder. His Elemental Skill deals Electro AOE damage to nearby opponents. In addition, should the player utilize Elemental Reactions, Sethos’ skill can charge at a much faster rate. His Elemental Burst will allow him to deal more damage based off his Elemental Mastery.

Of course, with so much more to learn about these characters, their respective Genshin Impact Story Quests will be available following the release of Version 4.7. Phase 1 will feature Fontaine Champion Chlorinde and Grand Sage Alhaitham, alongside Desert Envoy Sethos. Afterward, Phase 2 will feature Head Nurse Sigewinne and Hydro Archon Furina. With these pulls to look forward to, I’m sure everyone is priming those Primogems!

Lastly, let’s discuss the final parts of Genshin Impact 4.7; Special Events!

The Challenge of Concierge Wolfy

The Traveler and Paimon receive a mysterious invitation from an unknown source. Returning to Mondstadt, the duo stumble across a hidden library created by a mage long ago. Since then, a small plush named Wolfy has long awaited the arrival of the Traveler to partake in a series of plays to reenact the story. therefore, the Traveler is tasked with partaking in various combat battles against some of Teyvat’s world bosses. However, not only are you to meet special requirements, but you are also given specific Trial Characters to assist you.

Don’t forget to meet these special requirements for various rewards.

And finally, three additional events will be taking place after the release of Genshin Impact Version 4.7. These three events are as follows:

  1. Security Simulation: Similar to a Tower Defense Game, the Traveler will have to rely upon the combat skills of summoned monsters to defeat opposing enemies, whilst protecting a special unit.
  2. Endless Forms Most Martial: Defeat countless waves of Mech units from Fontaine. However, be sure to also keep an eye on the required goals in order  to reap those rewards.
  3. Spino Doubleblaster: A Fontanian Engineer has requested the aid of the Traveler to test out a special toy Hydro Cannon. Utilize its Hydro Bullets to pop various balloons and earn high scores.
  4. Record of Reflective Writing: Enter a simulated arena and avoid the attacks of combat dummies designed to look like enemies. Collect coins and complete tasks along the way to achieve high scores.

With a slew of new events and rewards to arrive in the upcoming 4.7 update, Travelers can be sure to enjoy themselves as the await the reunion of our beloved sibling.
