Now’s The Best Time To Play Jedi: Fallen Order

The Force is calling Star Wars fans and gamers, will you answer?

If you haven’t played Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order yet (or in a long while and you need a refresher), now is the perfect time to jump in. Not only does it feature thrilling lightsaber combat and force abilities, but it also boasts a compelling story that follows a young Jedi named Cal Kestis as he evades the Empire and tries to rebuild the Jedi Order.

With stunning graphics and well-polished gameplay, Jedi: Fallen Order has become a must-play for any Star Wars fan. And with the imminent arrival of the sequel, now is the time to catch up on the story before the next chapter arrives. So grab your lightsaber, channel your inner Jedi, and get ready for an unforgettable journey through a galaxy far, far away. Having been played by over 20 million players globablly, it was also nominated for Game Of The Year at the 2020 SXSW Gaming Awards!

Here are a few more reasons to check it out NOW!

Refreshing Your Memory

One of the primary reasons to play (or replay) this title is to refresh your memory of the game’s storyline. It has been over two years since the game’s release, and it can be easy to forget the finer details of the plot. Going back and replaying the game will not only remind you of the story’s key events but also allow you to pick up on subtleties and details that you may have missed the first time around. It’s the little things that really make a game stand out.

I forgot some details about the supporting characters like Cere Junda, Greez, and Merrin. I also forgot where we left Cal at the end of the game in terms of story. Thus my most recent playthrough is already paying dividends on refreshing my mind.

Re-Experiencing the Gameplay

Another reason to jump back into Jedi Fallen Order is to re-experience the game’s impressive gameplay. The combat system in Jedi Fallen Order is challenging and requires a significant amount of skill to master. By replaying the game, you will have the opportunity to hone your combat abilities and tackle enemies that may have given you trouble on your first playthrough. Additionally the sequel is said to have a vastly revamped combat style building off of the predecessor. Time to shake off the rust!

Additionally, you can experiment with different play styles and approaches to combat, making the game feel exciting. Exploring the skill-trees and experimenting with the force abilities is a better experience than what I remember it being the first time around.

Unlocking New Game Modes

Replaying the game can also unlock new modes that you may have missed on your first playthrough. For example, there is a new game plus mode that allows you to replay the game with all your upgrades and abilities intact. If you’re a fan of the SNES game Chrono Trigger then you’re already loving this.

This mode can provide a more challenging experience, as enemies are more difficult to defeat, and you are required to utilize all the skills you have acquired throughout the game. Definitely a great way to show off your double-bladed prowess (not mine though, I’m better off with the single blade).

Preparing for Jedi Survivor

Finally, replaying Jedi Fallen Order can serve as a way to prepare for the new expansion, Jedi Survivor. Jedi Survivor will continue the story of Cal Kestis and his crew as they navigate the dangers of the galaxy. From the latest story trailer below it looks like there is a significant time jump, so some elements will differ greatly.

If you don’t own the game you can pick it up relatively cheap at Best Buy or used at Gamestop.
