Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to the hit game Jedi: Fallen Order, will release on March 17, 2023. The news shocked fans because they had expected it later in 2023. The good news of this earlier release paired with a trailer that showed off the insane graphics, exciting gameplay, and Cal’s new dad beard that shows he is years from Padawan status.
Preorders for the game are now available but don’t waste your precious time comparing the different preorders and tiers because that is what we are here for.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will release on the newest generation of consoles. Gamers can expect it on Playstation 5, Xbox X|S, and PC. There will be the standard edition, which will come with a preorder bonus, and a deluxe edition, which will come with extra DLC content.
The Standard Edition
Gamers can find the standard edition anywhere video games are sold. The Amazon listing of the game shows what we can expect for the DLC content and some exciting shots from Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
Preorder Star Wars Jedi: Survivor from any retailer and receive the following digital items as a preorder bonus:
- Hermit cosmetic
- Hermit lightsaber set
- Combustion blaster set
It looks like these items are inspired by the recent Kenobi series and the costume design for our wandering Jedi. The hilt looks identical to Kenobi’s lightsaber in Attack of the Clones.

The Deluxe Version
The deluxe version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will feature a few extra items for $20 more. The items you can expect with the deluxe edition are:
- Scoundrel cosmetic
- Rugged BD-1 cosmetic
- DL-44 blaster set
- Rebel hero cosmetic
- BD-ASTRO BD-1 cosmetic
- Rebel hero lightsaber set
The deluxe edition DLC theme is from the Original Trilogy. The Scoundrel cosmetic is naturally modeled after Han Solo’s signature vest and pants from A New Hope. The Rebel hero cosmetic, which is inspired by Luke Skywalker’s Yavin celebration outfit, is also taken from A New Hope. Yes, that infamous yellow jacket makes a comeback, and it is a nice break from the ponchos. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there will be a medal. There are two BD-1 cosmetics to pair with Cal’s new outfits to keep him looking slick as he keeps us company throughout the Galaxy.
The weapons in the deluxe edition also stick to the theme. The DL-44 blaster set is Han Solo’s famous blaster pistol from the OT, and the Rebel hero lightsaber is the Skywalker saber from A New Hope. A

All in all, it comes down to how badly you want the Original Trilogy-themed DLC. The wandering Jedi outfit looks fantastic, as does the lightsaber and blaster. The deluxe edition content adds something different, which is cosmetics for BD-1.
Players most likely won’t be stuck with the stock version of BD-1 as the last version of the game offered unlockable ones as chests were found. So when it comes down to it, that extra $20 for the deluxe version of the game appears to only be cosmetics with no additional levels or missions.
