Earlier this evening, actress Kirstie Alley passed away at age 71. A brief ordeal with cancer claimed the life of the actress and the death came as a surprise to her friends and family as the cancer was only recently discovered.
Alley will live on in the hearts of fans with some iconic roles that solidify her legacy in Hollywood. Among those roles are:
- The character Saavik in Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan
- Molly Jensen in the Look Who’s Talking series.
- Rebecca Howe In the smash hit series Cheers
- Opposite of Christopher Reeve as Dr. Susan Verner in the remake of Village Of The Damned
- As Ms. Robin Bishop in the cult classic comedy Summer School
Kirstie Alley was a talented actress with great comedic timing and fantastic chemistry with whoever was starring beside her. When Shelley Long stormed off the set of Cheers she picked up the pieces and created an iconic television role of her own.
She was a one of a kind talent with great charisma and a speaking voice that was incomparable. Her Onscreen presence will be missed, and Geek News Now sends out our thoughts and prayers to the friends and family of this one of a kind talent as they navigate through this difficult time.
Safe home, Kirstie. Keep the bar running for us until we get up there!
