Genshin Impact 3.3; Traveler, Wanderer, Paimon!

Genshin Impact 3.3 is on its way. With it, we’ll finally get to see what happened to the Baladeer and Il Dottore after the events of 3.2. On November 25th, Sarah (Lumine), Max (Iito), and Patrick (Scaramouche) hosted the official 3.3 Special Program. With it, new information regarding upcoming gameplay, and special events were showcased.

Let’s take a look at what we can expect this December, and the new, exciting events to come. Keep in mind, if you haven’t already played up to the 3.2 Archon quest, this article will contain spoilers.

Genshin Impact; A Harbingers Redemption!

Following the events of Genshin Impact 3.2, Nahida stated that Scaramouche had fallen into a coma, and won’t wake up for a while. However, according the trailer, it would seem that the Balladeers defeat in combat gave him quite a few things to think about. More notably, his ties to the Harbingers, and Il Dottore.

Apparently, Il Dottore isn’t finished with Sumeru, as Irminsul is his next target. Together with Scaramouche- now self-proclaimed as The Wanderer- the two of you must investigate this matter, and find out what the Doctor has planned for the consciousness of the Dendro Archon.

The Genshin Impact 3.3 interlude chapter, All Senses Clear, All Existence Void, will arrive December 7th. Be prepared travelers, as this could mean we will be facing off against Il Dottore!

The Wanderer And Hatsune Miku?!

Well, no, not exactly. With the release of Genshin Impact 3.3, two new playable characters will also be available for wishing. These include the 5-Star Anemo Catalyst-user Wanderer (Scaramouche), and the 4-Star Anemo Bow-user, Faruzan.

Although we know who ‘Wanderer’ really is, Faruzan is another story. This young woman is actually a professor of the Akademiya. Despite her youthful appearence, she is highly intelegent in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Furthermore, those attending the Akademiya often visit her for advice on studies, and have high respect for her status.

Skills And Bursts – Wanderer: Wanderers skill, Song Of The Wind, involves leaping into the air and unleashing harsh slashes at the opponents. In addition, this allows him to hover for a brief amount of time. On the other hand, his burst, Ceremonial Ways, allows him to develop a sphere of compressed air, before stomping down onto opponents below. Although it’s not like Venti’s vortex, it’s enough to knock anyone off their feet.

Faruzan: Faruzan’s elemental skill, Wind Realm of Nasamjnin, creates a geometric shape that deals damage to nearby enemies. Following this up with a charged shot will create a strong vortex, pulling opponents in. Her elemental burst generates another geometric shape that traces into a triangle. Once the shape is complete, an additional anemo pulse will generate, decreasing enemy Anemo resistance.

Both Faruzan and Wanderer will be available during 3.3 Phase One, alongside Arataki Itto. The Second Phase will include the return of Raiden Shogun Ei, and Kamisato Ayato. Moving on, let’s discuss the next topic: Special Events!

It’s Time To D-D-Duel!

Battle fierce opponents with strategy! Image from gfinityesports.com

With the excitement ramping up within the Genshin community, how can we not talk about the long-awaited TCG event; Genius Invokation. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, Genshin Impact is finally getting a permanent TCG strategy game, that includes cards featuring your favorite characters.

Roll elemental dice to determine how much energy you’ll have to deploy combatants onto the battlefield. Each card used will provoke elemental reactions depending on your decks synergy. However, you’ll have to face off against fierce NPC oppenents before trying to take on other players. As you progress further into the TCG, you’ll earn rewards upon leveling up, earning you rewards such as Lucky Coins for more character cards to add to your deck, or Dynamic Skins.

On a side note, there is no leaderboard to own up to when playing Genius Invokation TCG. Therefore, this permanent gamemode removes the stress to try and stay at the top of your game. Do you have what it takes to win, or will you be sent to the Shadow Realm?! Oh, wait wrong game.

Genshin Impact Brick Break;

Let the Test of Courage begin! Image from ign.com

Simply put, it’s titled ‘Akitsu Kimodameshi’. Translated to ‘Test Of Courage’, you’ll simply be breaking blocks on a course, and earn some sweet rewards in the process. There is a catch, though. The most important factor in this minigame is your team composition. By utilizing Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, and Electro, you can generate favorable elemental reactions in order to score big.

Wilderness Popping Off!

Traverse tricky terrain and pop those balloons! Image from ign.com

The Across The Wilderness event is coming to the world of Teyvat. In this event, travelers have to locate and pop as many ballons within the alloted time limit. Assemble the perfect team to traverse tricky terrain and obstacles.

In addition, players can also obtain the Wilderness Compass in order to receive special buffs which include increased speed, jump, and stamina. However, you can only use one buff per challenge and consume Blessed Energy to acquire these buffs. There are also two different types of balloons during these challenges.

These balloons provide unique advantages:

  1. Harvest Balloons: Increases the amount of progress made during the event.
  2. Sonar Balloons: Increases the amount of harvest balloons for a set amount of time.

Utilize team synergy and conquer up to five courses as you collect as many balloons as possible. This can also be done in Co-op mode, allowing players to work together.

Genshin Impact; Hide And Go Hunt!

Hide and from Hunters or hunt those Rebels! Image from oneesports.gg

That’s right, everyone! The Windtrace festival returns, and is more improved than ever! For those unaware, the Windtrace event is a simple hide-and-seek game where there are two teams: Rebels (Hiders), and Hunters (Seekers). The Rebels must hide by disguising themselves as props, and survive until the time ends.

This time, however, there’s an advantage to getting caught. Should a Rebel be captured, and enter Spectator Mode, they can use a passive ability known as the Illusory Beacon. this beacon allows rebels to place false props to confuse the Hunter. Should the Hunter try to capture this fake prop, it will explode and obscure the Hunters vision for a brief moment.

Now, while this seems a little broken, Genshin Impact assured both sides will receive fair play. Here’s the layout:

  • Hunter Ability;
  1. Hunters Net: Allows Hunter to break any Rebel disguises. This also can be used on fake props to prevent obscurity.
  • Rebel Ability;
  1. Concealing Beacon: Temporarily deploys cloaking field around allies in order to vanish from Hunters view. If this beacon is destroyed by the Hunter, this will obsucre their vision for a brief moment.

With the Windtrace event returning to Genshin Impact, I for one am excited to see what new maps are open to explore.

Genshin Impact; Mist-ery Dungeon:

Speaking of returning events, Misty Dungeon: Realm Of Sand is returning to the 3.3 update. In this combat-laced trial, players will be able to access trial characters to traverse unique dungeons, and activating Ley Lines.

Players can choose to take on these challenges in order to help their progress within each domain. Conquer your enemies and restore those Ley Lines!
