Spy X Family
What if a cold war super spy was to adopt a telepath orphan and marry a cold blooded assassin? In Spy X Family these questions are put to the test. This anime revolves around a spy who, given his nature, is a bit of a loner. The Spy, Loid Forger, highest priority is to get close to a political opponent and blackmail him. In order to make that come about, Loid has adopted a six year old girl, Anya, who happens to be a child of experimentation. She can read minds and enjoys a certain spy show on TV. Anya is required to take an examination to enter a prestigious school where the opponent’s child also goes to school. She passes and is deemed worthy to attend school after a family interview with both parents.
Loid is thrown into a frenzy at trying to find a woman to pretend to be his wife. Enter Yor, the unassuming, cold-blooded assassin. Her livelihood is threatened by her day job coworkers who see her as a spy for not having a husband. Yor runs into Loid at the laundromat and Anya reads both their minds and finds out their secrets in a matter of moments. Anya is smart enough to keep her mouth shut and wants to see how her new family will play out.
I believe that this show will be interesting as well as heart warming to a certain extent. A mixture of James Bond meeting Orphan Annie. With explosions and family talks, taking place in the Cold War-esque city similar to Berlin 1960s. This show is currently airing on Saturdays on Crunchyroll for both sub and dub formats.
