Sinnoh returns in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. This new Pokémon title coming to Nintendo Switch reintroduces trainers to the 4th Gen Region. As we await the arrival of the upcoming Pokémon game, let us explore what Gamefreak has in store for us. After hearing not much news for BDSP following its announcement, it’s nice to finally receive an update to the upcoming game.
Explore Sinnoh All Over Again:
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl brings the Sinnoh Region to the Nintendo Switch in a brand new light. The upcoming Pokémon title will introduce new graphics to the overworld, as well as new battle aesthetics. The game still holds onto that old Chibi aspect for the overworld. However, once a battle occurs, the players’ avatar becomes full scale.
Secondly, the player will also be able to walk diagonally, as opposed to straight-forward. In addition, the lead party Pokémon will follow you around. This concept mirrors the same one as Pokémon Let’s Go.
Pokémon Contests:

You read correctly, folks! Sinnoh contests are returning, and are better than ever. As such, these contests come with three evaluations:
- Visual: Dress up your Pokémon and utilize Poffins, small treats, to up its appeal.
- Dance: Follow the rhythm of the song and wow judges with impressive timing.
- Moves: Use Pokémon moves and abilities in order to score points based on the contest performance.
Pokémon contests are always a big deal in the Sinnoh Region. So, be sure to show off your Pokémon to other players when you get the chance.
Coming Out With Style:
If your tired of plainly calling out your Pokémon to battle, the worry is over! Capsule Stickers help decorate your Pokéball with a variety of styles in order to summon your Sinnoh Pokémon with flare. There are well over 90 decorations to choose from. And, if applying them in 3D isn’t enough, you can have the option to attach the stickers in the original 2D aspect.
These stickers help immensely during Pokémon contests, as they will add to your visual appeal.
Sinnoh Underground:

The Exploration Kit makes a triumphant return! By using this key item, players can explore an underground tunnel system. These tunnels are filled with Spheres, and many other treasures that can be found and used in a variety of ways. Secondly, players can obtain Pokémon statues that are not just used for decoration.
Connect with other players online, build yourself a base, and start digging for treasure as you continue to explore the Sinnoh Region!
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are currently available for Pre-order on both the Nintendo e-shop and your local GameStop. The game is set to release on November 19th. With Generation 4 making its return, players are anxious to get started exploring the Sinnoh Region all over again.

Interesting. I was never into Pokémon, but am impressed that it’s still going.
