2021 is halfway over and has brought us some amazing things in the world of Geek News. From the Marvel Disney+ shows, to video game releases, to new movies there is something for everyone.
As is the norm for Geek culture, we look to the future. To what is to come, to worlds unknown, to new stories, and new adventures. Here is a short breakdown of some things we already know are coming in the second half of 2021.
VIDEOGAMES
With the E3 event in June, a lot of announcements for the gaming community came out. More than 90 games are confirmed for release from July to December in 2021, with over 180 announced titles with no release date. A complete list of what is to come can be found over on gameinformer.

Some major notables include “The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD” on July 16th. “Madden NFL 22” on August 20th. “Life is Strange: True Colors” on September 10th. “Metroid Dread” on October 8th. “PokéMon Brilliant Diamond” and “PokéMon Shining Pearl” on November 19th, and “Advance Wars 1+2:Re-Boot Camp” on December 3rd.

MOVIES
With over 60 movies slated for a 2021 release still to come, including another dozen or so with no official date, there is plenty of visual goodness to feast our eyes upon coming our way. Cinemablend has an up-to-date list of what we can look forward to.

2020 pushed the filming, and release schedule back for so many projects and productions, that it is nice to see those come to life in 2021, especially some that I have been greatly looking forward to.
“Black Widow” will have a theatrical and a Disney+ release on July 9th. “The Suicide Squad” will release in theaters and on HBO max on August 6th. “Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” will be in theaters and on Disney+ on September 3rd. “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” on September 24th. “Halloween Kills” on October 15th.”Eternals” on November 5th. “Top Gun: Maverick” on November 19th. “Spider-Man: No Way Home” on December 17th.

MARVEL TV SHOWS
Marvel’s shows on Disney+ have been wildly successful, and now with us well into “Loki”, we have so much more to look forward towards to hold us over until “Doctor Strange and The Multiverse of Madness” on March 25th, 2022. CNET has the full Marvel release schedule, including movies, and shows.
Marvel’s “What If…” premiers August of 2021, “Hawkeye” in late 2021, and “Ms. Marvel” also coming in late 2021. There are another seven shows lined up for 2022 to premier on Disney+
