You don’t need me to tell you about all of the problems that plagued CD Projekt’s much anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 release. Despite the outrage expressed by fans during the early days of the games release, Gamasutra has reported that CD Projekt has released preliminary numbers showing that they have projected a record year for profits.
This just goes to show that you can’t always believe the hype. As a fan of Cyberpunk 2077 I had a really hard time understanding how the issue on day one were enough for people to consider the game “unplayable” on anything but a next gen system. I myself played the game on an Xbox One with only minor noticeable issues. Yet every time I checked my favorite gaming sources, I was reading horror stories about the game play that were resulting in refunds and the game being pulled from downloadable platforms. This game was getting more backlash that Fallout 76. Seriously, have none of these fans ever played a Bethesda game on day one?
The fact that they are predicting record breaking profits goes to show that you can’t always trust the hype and the backlash. Give me your thoughts. Have you played the game? If you experienced any issues what were they? Sound off below or on join the conversation on our Facebook Page
