GNN Gamer Spotlight: Becky Rainwater aka “WolfAngel”

I had the opportunity to interview one of our gamers on the GNN_Gaming channel on, “WolfAngel”, aka Becky Rainwater.

(GNN) What was your intro into gaming? Why do you game now?

(Becky) I’d say my intro into gaming was when I was a little kid playing cards, Candy Land, and Chutes & Ladders with my Grandma. I really didn’t get into video games until I was a teenager and it all started with Gameboy Advance, and Nintendo DS. I game now because I find it be very fun especially when I am able to play with my friends.

(GNN) You’re one of the streamers for the Gaming Gurus of GNN, what is your favorite game to run?

(Becky) I would have to say that my favorite game to stream is “Dead by Daylight” followed very closely by “Sea of Thieves”. These games are a lot of fun. You know what is possible to happen but there is some unpredictability because of the human element and how other players change the outcome. Winning or losing the game isn’t based solely on the game’s programming.

(GNN) What do you enjoy most about working with GNN?

(Becky) I enjoy being able to play games, and meet other people that like the same geeky things I do. and I’m in luck that GNN is a magnet for other geeks like me!

(GNN) What is a favorite gaming moment for you?

(Becky) My favorite gaming moment would probably be when I’ve been able to pull off what is needed for an achievement after I’ve tried multiple times, and for quite a while I might add. I also love all of the fun gaming moments with my friends. One achievement that stands out is from “Halo: Reach”. You had to run off a cliff and assassinate the Elite at the bottom. It took a while to get it just right, but I was excited to pull it off. As a completionist though, all of the achievements are special for me to pull off.

(GNN) If you could stream any game from any platform, what would it be?

(Becky) One game I would love to be able to play again, and stream, would be “Final Fantasy XIV”. This was a game a few of my friends and I started playing. I was able to get lost in the world of “Final Fantasy”. Plus the graphics and class system were cool to get into. This was also my first real introduction to turn-based RPGs.

(GNN) Lastly, what videogame world would you like to live in and why?

(Becky) I would probably want to live in the world of PokéMon. I’ve always wanted to have my very own real life PokéMon, and then no one could judge me for carrying around my stuffed Pikachu anymore. If I could be a trainer of any type of PokéMon it would be the fire-types. In the first and second generation of PokéMon games I loved the fire-types like Growlith, Arcanine, Houndour, and Houndoom.
