The series sees Ming-Na Wen voicing Fennec Shand, the character she plays in live-action in The Mandalorian. Lucasfilm and Disney revealed a preview of Star Wars: The Bad Batch during its Investor Day presentation in December. The series is the fourth Star Wars animated series following Star Wars: The Clone WarsStar Wars Rebels, and Star Wars: Resistance.

The Bad Batch  was the focus of the first four episodes of  The Clone Wars  final season when it aired on Disney+ last year. It gave us a group of four clones (Echo joined up at the end making five) each with a special ability that aids greatly in the completion of whatever mission they may have. The four part story arc from the finale was originally released as unfinished “Story Reels” that were first shown on April 17, 2015 at Celebration Anaheim, and then released on StarWars.com on April 29, 2015. The new series will be set between Episode III and Episode IV.

It will be very interesting to see these special troops and the reaction they have to Order 66 and the aftermath. It will also be interesting to see how these former soldiers function with out a war to fight. With Filoni at the helm it can be nothing but good.
