Star Wars Lego Sets We Would Like to See In 2021

Thankfully 2020 is behind us and now we have a whole new year in front of us. There has definitely been a lot of changes to our lives this past year and a whole new set of changes coming up. There has already been the announcement of several sets being released on January 1st of next year and in fact they can be seen on  the Lego website but what else lies ahead for the next year. Here are a few things I’d like to see. Even if there is no set then an announcement of an upcoming release would be amazing.

1. UCS AT-AT

This I’m sure is at a lot of peoples list. There are several very good looking My Own Creation (MOC) AT-AT models that are minifig scale but I think an officially sanctioned Lego set is due. I have nothing against the MOC but I would like to see a nice set with good selection of minifigs. As large as the AT-AT is the build would be massive and it could very easily be a four or five hundred set but that would not deter many since the latest UCS Falcon retailed at $800 (USD) and it was a huge seller.

2. UCS Nebulon B Frigate

Here we another UCS set I’d like to at least see an announcement. Again there are several very good looking MOC’s out there on the web and even Lepin had a set out there. A larger set with a some good minifigs and a couple of play areas is definitely doable. Honestly I’m surprised that there was not one announced this year so it would be in line with the 40th anniversary of Empire Strikes Back. Lego did a poll earlier in the year asking fans which they would rather see as a UCS set and the frigate lost out to the Republic GunshipThe San Diego Comic Con exclusive set this year was a mid sized frigate so there is some hope that this could be a reality in the near future.

3. Jango Fett’s Slave 1

This is a set that really need a revisit. Actually there a quite a few sets from Attack Of The Clones (AOTC) that need a revisit. The popularity of The Mandalorian has sparked the interest of the armor clad people and this set would be a much needed addition to any ones collection. The Book of Boba is set to debut on Disney plus late next year and 2022 is the 20th anniversary of AOTC so its possible that we see this set then but next year would be nice too.

These are just a few of the things I would like to see or at least announced in 2021. What are you most looking forward to in the coming year. Moff Gideon’s Light Frigate: complete with minifigs moff gideon, the mandalorian, the child, and four Phase III Dark troopers.

Tusken Raiders, seriously how have they not come out with a battle pack for the Tusken Raiders yet. I am thinking that the Bantha and four raiders would go good with any number of sets from over the years.

New Republic Patrol X-wing. Move over Poe, it is time for the real heroes of the new republic. Blue-1’s X-wing watches from afar and protectes when they feel like it. Much as the true hero needs to be.
