The Mandalorian actress, Gina Carano, had more than her fair share of entertainment media attention over the course of the second season of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni’s hit Star Wars series — not all of it for her acting.
The former women’s MMA fighter — who plays former mercenary and current New Republic Marshal Cara Dune on The Mandalorian on Disney+ — is known for her vocal, and sometimes divisive posts, especially on her Twitter account.
Throughout The Mandalorian Season 2, Carano sparked a great deal of controversy among the social media set, with two opposing hashtags — #FireGinaCarano and #WeLoveCaraDune — trending at various points during the Disney+ streaming show’s sophomore run.
Now, however, other Mandalorian cast members have made clear which side of the Carano controversy they stand on and, as it turns out, they don’t want to see the Star Wars actress go anywhere. Title star Pedro Pascal — who plays the Mandalorian Din Djarin — has supported Carano on multiple occasions. Now, Ming-Na Wen — who works alongside bounty hunter Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) as sharpshooter Fennec Shand — has also spoken out in support of her co-star.
Wen of course is expected to play a major role in the upcoming Book of Boba Fett. The series is set to debut in December of 2021 on Disney plus and will be a direct spin off of The Mandalorian. Wen even stated in a tweet that she is geeking out about her life right now.
Is it weird that I’m geeking out about my own life right now?😂

Carano responded and showed great support for Wen, and of course Wen replied back to Carano.

Clearly, the cast of The Mandalorian is close-knit and we could all stand to learn a thing or two from them about friendship amid differing opinions. If Carano’s fellow cast members are to be believed, there is nothing but love for the actress on-set. What are your opinions on this matter? Drop a line in the comments and let us know.
