501st Lego Set Unveiled

In a most welcome surprise, The LEGO Group unveiled today the LEGO Star Wars 501st Legion Clone Troopers Building Kit — a new set celebrating the elite soldiers of the Republic.

A 285-piece set, the release promises to be an enjoyable build for LEGO masters and younglings alike. Look for the LEGO Star Wars 501st Legion Clone Troopers Building Kit to arrive August 2020.

There have been only two 501st troops before in the Lego brand one in an AT-RT walker with the 501st markings and another in the Z-95 headhunter both released in 2013. They were released as part of a story arc from the “Clone Wars” tv series. Since then fans have been clamoring for another chance to build their clone armies with a 501st legion.  The 501st trooper sells on second hand sites for between $20 and $60. The pilot between $10 and $30. The new set will retail for $29.99
